A string of brutal home invasions throughout Los Angeles sends the police department and Private Investigator Mick St. John on a chase to find the killer. Over the past few weeks, the two parties discovered that the bodies have been drained of blood. The victims have nothing in common, as they range from children to senor citizens. They are both male and female, and they are from all cultures as well as ethnic groups. However, the stakes have changed when a young girl, Abigail Cunningham, has been taken from the scene by the suspect.
A few days after the reported murder of the Cunninghams, another attack in a dark alley was reported to the police. Mick St. John shows up just as soon as Lt. Carl Davis does, and looks at the scene. Upon closer inspection, Mick follows his nose to find a very different young Abigail Cunningham hiding in a shadow behind a nearby dumpster. Upon a much closer inspection of the child, Mick noticed that she was no longer human. He made a quick decision and took her under his protection and underwent the position of being her sire.
So will the killer strike again? Is the killer a vampire? Who turned Abigail Cunningham? Will her sire attempt to get her back? Is Mick in over his head with the girl? How will Beth react to all of this?
