OVERALL PERSONALITY:Sarcastic/ blunt:
As many other teenagers her age, CJ is sarcastic. However, sarcasm is the biggest and most evident trait of her personality that you will first notice. She acts as though she doesn't care about major things, that when she talks to people when she in a bad mood, she uses her 'baby voice'. She loves sarcastic humour, and can usually put on a great act around people. There's really not much you can say about her other than 'She's so sarcastic!'
Standoffish:
At times she can become very standoffish; but only if you've managed to irk her in some way. If you've managed this, she will hold herself in a very dignified way, her arms usually crossed over her chest. With a slight nod of her head an a 'Hello <whatever their name might be>' she will glare that person down until they decide to leave, taking a very defensive stance as though she's ready for a fight.
Hot-headed:
'You want a piece of me?' Ah, you've done it again! CJ can be very hot-headed if you've decided to take it upon yourself to say something stupidly blunt to her without meaning it, or by just plainly annoying her. In this case, she will turn to that person and in a low, controlled voice, ask them if they have a problem with -- not what's she's doing --but with her. She will try to fight someone if it comes to this -- she's very independent.
Perfectionist:
As an aspiring writer and photography, in everything that CJ cares about, she works hard to make it perfection. Though she always says it isn't her best work, if she has it printed off, or if she's handing something in, you'll surely know she's worked on it with her whole being to ensure that it's exactly how she saw it to be. Though she is a perfectionist, she is quite creative, and always has a notebook and pen in her bag at hand just in case she has an idea.
Stubborn:
This ties in with her standoffish trait, and her hot-headed trait. CJ stands her ground. That's all there is to it. She won't do anything unless she knows what she's doing it for -- favours included. And since she is independent, she doesn't usually have to pay anyone back for anything. But if a favour is needed, I guess you can try and ask her ...
Independent:
'I don't do the whole "damsel-in-distress" thing ...'
Yes, CJ does not tolerate being save by others. She knows what she's doing and almost always rejects others' offers for help. She is plenty capable -- she has two arms, two legs, two eyes, and a brain, right? Why not put it to use. Besides, if you insist upon helping her, she may just get annoyed and shoo you away.

OVERALL HISTORY:
(4 paragraphs)
Disfunctional family say it all. CJ was part of a 'combo-deal' up until a year ago. She had a twin sister who was exactly five-minute, thirteen seconds older than her. Her sister's name was Callie Jane, and Callie was an aspiring ballroom dancer. Callie even went to a very prestegious school in England for quite some time. The two had grown up in England, in a small place in Dover. They lived on a farm with their younger brother and two parents. Their mother was a lawyer, and their father was a chef.
For some time, they lived a very peaceful life -- probably until they turned thirteen. Their teenage acts of rebellion pulled the family apart. Callie was the instigator of it all; she got a boyfriend who was seventeen at age thirteen, and started drugs. Her grades began slipping, and though CJ tried to stay out of it, she felt as though she was being pulled into the war between Callie and her parents more and more each day. Finally, it came the time when she was supposed to pick sides.
From when CJ first discovered that she could write, and that she loved photography, she promised her sister she'd become a columnist, and then she'd write an article on her sister, the famous dancer. She often took pictures of her sister at competitions. And she chose Callie's side.
But Mr. Marks was transferred sometime later to Chicago. With Callie dragged along, CJ felt as though she hadn't done enough to comfort her sister. So the first night there she helped her sister escape. CJ stayed behind, but for months Callie left each night, coming back late into the morning. She had gotten a new boyfriend.
Then, one evening Callie came back early, crying. She'd dumped her boyfriend. So CJ told her sister that they'd go out for a night of fun -- but Callie never came back. They'd gotten into a party, and seen Callie's boyfriend there. They'd gotten into a fight, and Callie had left. It was all a blurr to CJ. But when they'd been walking home, a gang jumped them. CJ hit her head hard, but looking up, dazed, through a foggy screen of tears, she'd watched the knife plunge into her sister's stomach -- heard her scream.
And when CJ was found again, she pretended she didn't know -- but she did. She remembere everything. But she faked as though she had amnesia. And things were easy for everyone else -- but not for her. No one had to explain their saddness to CJ if she didn't remember -- but CJ knew the whole story.
So her parents enrolled her into Camden years later. They wanted to ensure that she didn't turn out to have the future that Callie did. And all she could do was accept it, and attend the school.
(sorry the history is bad ...)
