STYLE: Strange. Ellie has never been a very feminine girl. She's pretty darn nerdy. Ellie usually wears whatever is at the top of her drawer; and most of that stuff is from when she was in grades seven and eight. She hasn't really updated her style since then. Ellie wears a combination of strange things; one day she might wears a pair of army shorts with bright yellow tights underneath, and an over-sized sweatshirt with a picture of two cats in a basket on it, and the sweatshirt is in the ugliest shade of gray. Other days she may wear overalls.

The most normal you can get Ellie is when she's wearing just jeans and a t-shirt. And even then the t-shirt has some clever saying on it about computers or gaming and such. Ellie wears her glasses upon occasion, but tries to wear her contacts (which she hates because they irritate her eyes).

Yeah, Ellie doesn't care much. You have your business, she has hers. She tends to stick to the sidelines, and just witness bullying and such. It's not her problem that you're being pushed around. If someone tries to tell Ellie about how much the despise someone, she'll probably just nod her head but not really be listening, and offer some blunt answer like 'yeah, they sound mean'.

However, when having a conversation with Ellie, if she knows you and is comfortable around you, its usually a pretty mellow conversation, leaving all things like 'emotions' and 'relationships' and 'drama' behind. She just likes to stick to herself.

You've never talked to Ellie Mae Freebush?! Oh dear! Ellie is usually the type of girl who can be a little unaware of herself, often never saying anything, or saying something to ruin the conversation. She likes short answers better than long answers, and never usually offers a lot of information as to how she's doing, what school she goes to, and such. Unless she's on-line, then she seems pretty intelligent and outgoing.

But you'll notice that once you get to know Ellie, she's a completely different person! No longer is she shy -- but we'll go into detail about that later.

Ellie is 'socially awkward' as she has dubbed herself. She's never quite sure what to say -- or maybe its just that she doesn't have any sort of courage to do so. But whatever the case is, just try to converse with Ellie as much as you can, because soon she'll start opening up a lot and you'll notice a whole new person.

OVERALL HISTORY:

Ellie Mae (as her parents sometimes refer to her as) grew up in a small town in Germany. The little red-headed 'gerd' (she's come up with such a nickname, referring to herself as a 'girl/nerd') spent much of her time playing games with her dolls and toys, and with her imaginary friend. Her parents didn't realize it at the time, but Ellie's imagination could sometimes run wild, and take her with it. And, to make matter worse, Ellie actually saw her imaginary friend, though no one else could.

Ellie's parents moved in the summer of two-thousand, to have a more prosperous business in America with her mother's bakery. Her mother bakes pastries for weddings, banquets ... you name it. So the family moved over to America when Ellie was ten, and hasn't regretted their choice ever since.

Now, it was around the time when Ellie was ten, and first moved into a very old apartment building. There was a rumor that a person had died in the very bedroom that she was staying, but Ellie didn't mind. It wasn't actually until Ellie started getting restless at night, and stopped sleeping some days (weeks even) altogether. Her parents asked her what was wrong, and when Ellie said she heard these 'voices', her parents knew that something clearly wasn't right -- with their daughter! So Ellie's parents, in hopes that she'd move from this stage of strange behavior, moved her bedroom, and bought her all kinds of things, games included.

For a few years, until Ellie was fourteen, actually, she was home schooled by a tutor, and after class, spent much of her time gaming. She kept to herself, and didn't tell her parents about the voices she continually heard. Some of the things the voices said were more violent than others, but she learned to stop listening. And from there her fetish with games progressed.

When she started high school, the only real friends she made (and still communes with) were a couple of guys who had a gaming club. They heard that she liked DotA, and WoW, and invited her in. She is really only comfortable around them, but didn't dare telling them her secret, afraid of rejection. She went through high school being socially awkward, being picked on behind her back, and not caring. Her sleep insomnia came and went, but she discovered her new best friend -- coffee -- during her high school years. It was also in her final year, grade twelve, that Ellie bought herself Gulliver, who is now an overweight guinea pig who has a difficult time moving.

Now Ellie is nineteen, and her parents chose to send her to Camden. It was a tough decision, and Harding and Camden weren't even on the map, but her parents convinced her to go, saying Camden had a great computer software design program. But they really only wanted to ensure that Camden made Ellie forget about the 'voices' and move on. Currently Ellie is residing in a dorm, but usually everyday after her school she goes to help her mom in her bakery, though she'd rather be playing games. And Ellie still hears them without a doubt.
