Lyla couldn't help but feel like she had made a horrible mistake in letting Finn come over to her room. Worst of all... he would be bringing food... and Lyla just didn't get along with food. She finally shook her head and closed her laptop. Well, the deed was done and he was on his way. There would be no taking it back. Lyla liked Finn... she didn't want him to see what she really was. Glancing once around her room, Lyla frowned. She wiped her nose with a tissue as she thought about where to start with straightening up. Everything was already straight and orderly, but Lyla couldn't help but touch a few things up. She tossed the tissue into the trash as she moved into her bathroom. Staring at her reflection, Lyla's frown deepened. She looked horrible. Her hair was all over the place and her dark gray/blue eyes were so tired looking. That was what she got for staying up coughing all night. Lyla didn't have time to take a shower, but she quickly went her fingers and ran them through her hair. She really hated being sick, but her sucky immune system didn't care about that.
Fishing her toothbrush from it's container, she fumbled around trying to get toothpaste on it. She missed twice before she finally got it. As she brushed her teeth she got maybe a little too far back, activating her gag reflex. Lyla recovered as quick as she could, spitting and finishing up with the toothbrush quickly. She sighed as she left the bathroom, closing the door behind her. Lyla didn't know what else to do. She looked down at her clothing. Sweat pants and a t-shirt... gee... how sexy. Wait- Lyla didn't have anyone to impress. She wrapped her arms around her stomach, moving toward her bed. Lyla lay down, curling up into a little ball. As she lay there she thought about how she would avoid eating the soup. The thoughts made her feel bad. Finn went through all the trouble of heating it up for her... only for her to just pick at it and not really eat it? Lyla sighed. It looked like she would just have to suck it up and eat it. Usually, when Lyla ate any large amount of food she felt like a failure. Right now she wasn't invisible... at least Finn saw her... and she kind of liked that.
Finn was... different. He was a fellow people watcher. Lyla felt like she was at least starting to get used to him. Turning so that she was laying on her back, Lyla stared up to the ceiling. Maybe he wouldn't turn out to be another Tony Fletcher. Tony was the reason she became anorexic in the first place. The guy was the most popular in the school and he played just about every sport there was... and Lyla loved him or well... thought she did. The problem? Tony never saw her. When he did finally see her, he had the audacity to say he would never date her because he thought she was fat! Lyla knew she was no size 0 and she knew that she wasn't the prettiest girl on the planet, but she didn't enjoy being called fat. Lyla rested her hands over her stomach. It was weird when she took a breath because she could feel her ribs poke out. They only did that when she inhaled though. Lyla held her breath for a moment, wishing Finn would show up soon to give her something to do at least. Finally releasing her breath, Lyla say up, leaning against the headboard of her bed. Hopefully it wouldn't be long.

Finn got up and moved over to where he had his microwave plugged in. He pulled the bowl out and checked its warmth. Just a little bit longer he thought. He put it on a little longer then searched around for a cover to the other bowl he planned on putting the soup in. He was sure that bowl had a cover to it, he usually was a weird one for having dishes like that. Finn finally managed to find the cover and just in time too as he heard the ding of the microwave. He headed back locating his handy dandy pot holders and pulled it out.
Making sure not to spill anything he transferred the soup over to the other bowl. He didnt want her to burn her hands on it and besides he didnt want to carry a hot bowl down towards her room either. He put the cover on, grabbed a spoon and a package of saltines in case she liked crackers in her soup and then made his way out of the door. He locked it and had to think of the room number again. Hed nearly forgotten but then he remembered. He was usually good at remembering stuff like that, but his mind had been so focused on the soup he had a moment of brain deadness.
Finn found the girls dorms and then looked at the numbers till he found hers. He hadnt bothered to check himself, finn wasnt really the type to care about his clothes and that morning hed thrown on a black slipnot shirt with black pants and a black and white striped hoodie. His hair was combed back like always. Finn had also grabbed a gatorade too. He knew she said she had water, but honestly he thought that when you're sick gatorade was so much better. It gave you electrolytes and you definitely need those when you're sick.
Finn raised his hand and knocked a couple times on her door. He then stepped back a couple steps, just because. He always felt weird when people opened the door and happened to be just a bit too close. At least this way they had feet between them. He liked space. At least it was good when he didnt know the person. He knew lyla and he got along with lyla. It was nice, she was so far the only person here that hes talked to. Well hes talked to others too but he likes spending time with her and for the short time hes known her hes pretty sure that he can consider them friends. He wonders if shes okay with that.

Lyla almost fell asleep before she finally heard a couple of knocks at her door. FINN! Lyla jerked up, coughing in the process. She held her chest for a moment before moving off her bed. Finn had gotten there pretty quick unless she had just lost the track of time, which was probably the real case. Lyla slowly opened the door and moved aside. "Hey there, Professor..." She said, her voice a little rough because of all the coughing. Lyla was glad that Finn had decided to come to her room. She felt so alone most of the time. Finn just... he made her feel like she didn't have to feel alone. He saw her and that was most of what Lyla asked from anyone. She just wanted people to see her instead of ignoring her existence. For once Lyla wanted people to get on the chat and look for her... she wanted that most of her life but had never really gotten it but from one person who she would never see again.
"Thanks for bringing the soup." Lyla said, mustering a smile. "I think this is probably one of the nicest things that anyone has ever done for me." She needed to shut her mouth before she said too much. Lyla didn't really talk about herself. She didn't really care about herself. "Er, the place is kind of a mess." Kind of... meaning not really. She sucked her lower lip in, holding it with her teeth, thinking of what to say next. Lyla moved back toward her bed, but managed to trip over her computer chair. She stumbled forward, nearly falling, but she managed to catch herself on the bed. Lyla stood up, laughing softly to herself. Her face turned beet red. How embarrassing. The sad thing was that she was that clumsy even when she wasn't sick. Lyla hated her clumsiness, but she was used to it to a degree. It was a little inconvenient for sure though.
Lyla finally managed to make it to the end of her bed. She sat, looking up to Finn with her shy smile. "Um, yeah... have a seat if you want... I mean... you don't have to... but if... well, you know... it can... standing can be tiring." Lyla felt like she was about to pass out. Seriously... she was still kind of surprised that Finn agreed. But she felt bad that he was risking catching whatever she had just to bring her some soup. It was so nice of him. Lyla liked that she could at least trust someone in her school. Lyla had issues with completely trusting people or maybe it was with completely trusting herself. Either way- Lyla wasn't really sure. It was hard for her to make those kind of calls because she... well, Lyla wasn't really sure about who she was or what she believed in.

When lyla finally answer he gave her a small smile. Hey storm. he told her as he stepped inside once she invited him. He glanced around the room and then looked back at her. Brought the good. he lifted the items he was holding in indication. Even sick lyla still managed to look pretty, but he wasnt surprised. Lyla had that natural beauty to her and he felt bad that she was sick. She shouldnt be the type to get sick, granted no one should have to but people like her least of all. She was just so quiet and sweet, it was.. nice.
Finn nodded to her. Hey it was no problem. My pleasure really. he told her. I ... like to help you know. I mean... you shouldnt be sick and stuff so... heh.. soup. Most i can do really. Oh and.. you know.. i brought gaterade too. I know you said you had water and such, but when you're sick.. you need your electrolytes and thats where gatorade comes in handy. he smiled softly again before giving another glance around and shaking his head, waving off her words. its not bad at all. Believe me you're apartment is fine. Its nice actually.' he nodded. He actually didnt feel uncomfortable so.. that was a plus. He didnt want to make her feel uncomfortable by telling her that she was crazy to think it wasnt a mess. Some people were weird like that, maybe she was the type that if a couple things were out of place it was a mess to them so therefore he wasnt about to correct her.
Finn bit his lip and glanced around before shrugging. sure... no problem. he looked over at her. You know you should be in bed. Go ahead and .. get in, get comfy and then ill give you the soup so you can eat. he told her as he glanced around to see if she might not have a tray or something to put across her lap, like a serving tray well not one exactly but something to use as one, but he didnt see any. Oh well it would be okay. Do you like crackers?' he asked. You know... to put in it?' he raised his brow. He knew he loved to put crackers in his but some people didnt. I... brought some in case he added.
